Descripción

Se han utilizado una variedad de tintes de cianina 5.5 (Cy5.5®) para marcar moléculas biológicas para imágenes de fluorescencia y otros análisis bioquímicos basados en fluorescencia. Se utilizan ampliamente para marcar péptidos, proteínas y oligos, etc. Los tintes Cy5.5® son un tipo de los fluoróforos rojos más comunes. El éster Cy5.5® NHS reacciona fácilmente con los grupos amino.

AAT Bioquest ofrece ésteres de colorante Cy NHS en forma de sales de trietilamonio que son más solubles en DMSO y DMF que las sales de potasio correspondientes que ofrecen otros proveedores. Las sales de trietilamonio del tinte Cy tienen la misma reactividad y dan los conjugados idénticos a las sales de potasio del tinte Cy. Cy5.5® es una marca comercial de GE Healthcare.
