Calcein UltraBlue™ tiene propiedades espectrales similares a las de Calcein Blue. Sin embargo, en comparación con Calcein Blue, Calcein UltraBlue™ tiene una mayor fotoestabilidad y una mayor intensidad de fluorescencia a pH fisiológico, lo que la convierte en una sonda fluorescente más robusta que Calcein Blue.
