Descripción
La bacteriorrodopsina (BR) es una proteína transmembrana 7 que actúa como una bomba de protones impulsada por la luz en las arqueobacterias. Debido a su ligando coloreado unido covalentemente, BR se usa ampliamente como proteína de membrana de control, por ejemplo, para ensayos de cristalización y experimentos bioquímicos/biofísicos. Proporcionamos BR de alta pureza, preparados como parches de membrana púrpura de Halobacterium salinarum.
